Charcoal is very messy and extremely fun to work with. These guys are a great example of this and have plenty of studio character. Being studies for my watercolours and living on my studio wall for months at a time there are the occasional edits, smudges, and fingerprints that are all an active part of my energetic creative process and add to the character of the piece. My husband likes them so much he has one in his office at work and has requested another as birthday gift for this year.
For this collection I have selected my favourites from the last few years. Locations span from the lush North Slope in the Alaskan arctic to the Rugged Coast Range in Southern BC.
All are 18×24 inches on a light weight acid free paper.
